It’s hatching season in Sumatra! Watch as these hatchling Painted Terrapins (Batagur borneoensis) emerge from their sandy nests for the first time. This nesting season, the field teams translocated 38 nests totaling 644 terrapin eggs from the beaches of Aceh Tamiang and Langkat to the protected hatchery at the Painted Terrapin Information Centre in Pusung Kapal.
