Coaster locomotive 2105 is an F40PHM-2C type built by Morrison Knudsen in 1994. It was one of five locomotives built for the start up of commuter rail service in San Diego, CA. The locomotive was officially retired in 2021 and eventually made its way to the Southern California Railway Museum in 2025 for preservation. This weekend, Coaster 2105 will be leading trains once again at the Southern California Railway Museum. On Saturday September 13, Coaster 2105 and Santa Fe 108 will be used on excursions over the museum’s demonstration railway.
