On cold windy days bee swarms settle flat on the ground to avoid getting cold . My son Oscar and his friend Lucas noticed the swarm on the way home from school. The bees were quick to march toward the box but reluctant to enter. The new box smell sometimes overwhelms bees who have very sensitive smell. I was able to get the bees to nestle on the frames.
